Graduated from the Lebanese University Faculty of sciences, Ghazal obtained her PhD from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes (ENSCR), specializing in Applied Biotechnology. Her academic background is defined by strong expertise in Protein engineering and Glycobiology.

During her doctoral research, she focused on the characterization of a novel glycosyltransferase from hyperthermophilic Archaea aimed at discovering new glycosaminoglycanes with novel properties . Following her PhD, she joined the RealCat platform at centrale Lille as a postdoctoral researcher, where she worked on the screening of new biocatalysts for the enzymatic degradation of aromatic plastics. She joined GLYcoDiag in 2026 and currently serves as a Glycosciences Project Manager.
